Modders have managed to fix the physics side of the game, but not the internal, unseen stuff.
You can guarantee if someone had done it, it would be the most used mod in the history of Skyrim, but in 11 years no one's managed it...
Use it at your own risk.
As Liquid Inc already wrote it's tied to physics, etc. Nothing has changed since Oldrim, except the game engine being recompiled with Visual C# 2019 to a 64-bit version. Havok engine, Papyrus VM, etc. are still the same. As a fellow old fart says: "Your game, your way!"
Running at a capped 144 FPS, zero issues.
Well, unless your playing for a few hours max and then restarting your character, i honestly can't believe that.. Not saying it's not true, but zero issues? That's quite a stretch...
Personal experience of trying that ended pretty quickly with things going wrong, especially in the civil war quests, and Bleak Falls Barrow ended with some very odd results!
I can't imagine doing much more than running about killing people with something like Po3's mod to remove the essential status. Doing the MQ's though? Good luck...
Not saying running the game at 144 FPS will never cause any issues, but I am yet to encounter any issues that are related to framerate. Completed several questlines on one character, no crashes or bugs to speak of.
As for the civil war... well that quest is a mess even in vanilla.
Other than that? Nothing. 'cept maybe the occasional CTD but let's be real here, you get that in vanilla, too.
If you want to play with high fps then get rid of any mods that replace animations, change physics, or are otherwise known to make complex changes to the game. Keep it simple and stick to texture, audio, and bug-fixing mods.
