No. The only thing to take into account is the value of the item. You get more "xp" the more expensive the item is. You can see the value after in the enchant menu, selecting different items allows you to see the value when done. I tend to enchant the most valuable first to get the most xp.

Enchanting skill increase doesn't depend on item's value. It is only affected by size of the soul you used. Grand Soul gives most XP and Petty Soul gives least. Guardian Stones and sleeping multiply the gained XP like with all other skills.

Item's value does affect the skill increase of Alchemy and Smithing so use potions(Smithing only) and enchanted crafting gear if you want to level them up rapidly.

Well, perhaps I am wrong, apologies. It has been some time since I played. Although I also thought the size of the soul did not affect xp, I thought soul only effected the amount of the enchantment.

If you WANT it to, best to grab ordinator and immersive jewelry. Makes enchanting and crafting jewelry a serious biznis with that combo

edit: spell biznis right, had to correct that :P

Unlike Alchemy and Smithing, enchanting skill increases are unaffected by item value, enchantment used, or soul level of the soul gem used.

It is still best to use the highest value enchant you have so you can sell the item for the most but otherwise it does not matter.

The size of the Soul used massively affects how much the skill levels up, the bigger the Soul the bigger the enchantment created, the bigger the enchantment the more the skill levels up.
Admittedly towards the end the difference between a Grand Soul and Common Soul reduces, but the difference is still there.

The item enchanted makes no difference though.

The first part of what I posted came from UESP, and they are usually right, and I don't see a difference myself between petty and grand, beyond value and strength the xp is the same.

Have been doing a lot of enchanting recently, and have definitely noticed a difference between the XP gain from using a Grand Soul and a Greater Soul. It does drop off at the higher levels though, but even there I saw a difference.

Enchanting skill does increase based on the value of the item, but this is only in regards to DISENCHANTING.

Disenchanting a master robe can take you from 15 to like 28 in one disenchant lol.

I just tested this and it's wrong. Petty soul and Grand soul give exactly the same skill increase. UESP wiki was right and the other wiki was wrong.

Regarding the increased worth of the piece of jewellery, yes. Regarding the enchantment, no. The value of the item will be even more if it were worth quite a bit beforehand but as far as I know the strength of the enchantment is determined through your skill (and skill points) and what soul gem you used.

Mods have shown me that price is the most important thing regarding crafting skill increases across the board.
When making new esp files for mods which require more effort than simply opening and re-saving in CreationKit 64, I raised the prices of certain jewelry pieces specifically to speed the process of leveling up crafting at the start of a new playthrough (since New Game Plus isn't a thing in BGS titles).
Just a few SPG armor condoms or 'thing rings' can get a character up to Glass/Orcish crafting tiers within the space of a minute of two.

Enchanting is different than other skills, xp gain is flat across the board no matter what you enchant or how much it is worth. Petty soul gems and iron knives get the same increase as the most expensive item and Grand soul gems.

That is true for enchanting but not for disenchanting.
Alas, there does not seem to be a way to speed the process of leveling Enchanting when re-playing save for adding a bag of expensive enchanted items into the world somewhere and even then, that only works once for each enchantment.

You could just use console to max out crafting skills in Helgen and decide that your character was already good at crafting before the game began. No need to change prices and add expensive items into game world? It's just a cumbersome way to cheat.
