Magic vs Might
Do you ever get the feeling the devs intended players to be more magic oriented? I'm only basing this on the number of staffs in the game and the number of magika potions found.

No I never got that. I got that they wanted to give you choices and options. There is something for everyone and all points in between.

You can be a purist, hybrid and fusion of all 3 main types. All are viable. The only thing I don't like is the Thuum. Detest it and all it stands for (The concept that only one chosen by the gods and ordained by a set of old whitemen overlooking the world can solve problems.

Going to stop there. I feel a rant coming on.

No. If that's the case, then the developers wouldn't have butchered magic.

Gets to the point I quit picking up any potions in loot except Ultimate Health. Have 62 of those in latest game.

considering how bad magic are compared to physical combat, it would be the other way around. Those magika potions are useless since you can just enchant your gears to cast with zero magika cost. But since there is next to no way to scale magic dps in this game other than getting better spells, if anything magic felt like noob traps.

eh just do stealth archer there are no other viable builds

You can raise your sneak skill quite high early in the game, go in to a crowded room like an inn, get in a corner and crouch and auto walk into the corner. Does not matter that they are not hostile to raise sneak. This make any type of sneaky character better.

This is my third play through since it's release. I've pretty much done it the same each time.

or buy a horse take it out a bit and then sneak behind it and wack it a few times with a dagger and wait every few attacks to let it regen HP.

It's just so all playstyles have the things they need. Magic isn't as bad as people make it out to be, smithing + enchanting is just ridiculously OP
