Where is my Skyrim.ini?
I have tried to look for this file in my Documents as was suggested, but there is only some file called Renderer and bunch of folders. Not even as hidden file. Has it been moved somewhere? I launch game via Vortex via SSE64.

This is exactly where the original INI-files are. This true, even if you would use manager that has it's own INI-sets.

If you still can't find it, search your OS drive for skyrim.ini.

Yeah, that is the thing it is not there and never was in my case.

That sounds weird. According to Steam, you own legit copy of the game. File should be in default location. SKSE64 wouldn't even run without that file being generated before it's first launch.

Does Windows search locate the file and do you have file extensions set visible? I actually presume you do, because option is set from the same folder menu with hidden files, but I got to ask, just to be sure.

haha, I am stupid, I have been looking into Skyrim folder, didn't realize there is another one called Skyrim SE, selective field of vision ffs, ♥♥♥♥ my ADHD. The sheer amount of files made me look again. Thanks :)

Common problem, really. Devs tend to push their files where ever. Some use installation folder, others Documents, some devs push all their files and saves under AppData folder etc.

It takes some time with every game to figure out where files can be found this time.

Also one has to run the game to start with for it to be created

True. This is something that many people miss, trying to start game with xSE out of the box.

I did expect it to be created in this case, or game wouldn't have launched from xSE to begin with.
