Followers turn hostile to one Another?
On occasion, during a battle, usually a really big one with 10 or so enemies, 2 of my followers (always female - the guys never go hostile towards each other) will start duking it out and ignoring enemies. If I ignore them the battle continues until one will kill the other at which point the winner is happy and the game goes on.
If I try to break the up the only way to stop them fighting is to get the one that can teleport the group to some place else and that ends the fight. That usually does the trick but I then must exit the game and do a restart.

I use Amazing follower tweaks. The fighting is rare but really annoying when it happens. I don't believe it's a part of AFT and is probably a conflict with another mod or a wrong setting in AFT.

Playing AE edition .640.

Any ideas about what's going on and/or how to fix it?

Thanks...

That usually happens when you mix melee followers with followers who use elemental attacks. (yes, I mean you Serana and Lydia). I use Extensible Follower Network that has an option to ignore friendly fire. AFT may also. If not, add Alternate Actors. It allows you to take over an NPC. Once you take over one of the fighting NPCs, the fighting stops. Then just revert back to the player character.
The only other alternative is to save frequently and restore a save before an enemy NPC encounter. One of my followers conjures a flame atronach. I've gotten into fights with soldier NPCs when everyone rushes an enemy and they accidentally get hit by a fireball. Luckily they're usually from different mods so they don't all turn hostile.

It's not AFT, when followers accidentally hit one another they will fight. I might be remembering wrong but I think AFT has an option to make followers ignore friendly fire. If not there is probably another mod that does it.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

AFT auto sets followers to ignore friendly fire, may want to double check that option in the settings.

And that's exactly what I've done. One follower is a very competent mage that lets loose with a variety of flame spells and elemental bolts while the other charges in with swords swinging and she's probably getting whacked by the mage's fire spells.

I'll check the ignore friendly fire option in AFT.
