What is the skyrim unofficial patch? and more questions
My game has many bugs.
They recommended that to me but I wanted to check with those who used it if it is recommended.
The white race tree is bugged and a small one grew inside.

The merchants don't have any gold.
Is there a way to change that feature of the game?

I also wanted to ask, what is the house that has a greenhouse and a garden on the outside?

Mind you: there will be bunch of people telling that it is not, because it fixed few exploits, which some people preferred. They failed to realize that those exploits were not working correctly for them in the first place and were actually often working against them.

USSEP is also required by many other mods that rely on it's fixes. I have been riding with it since early Oldrim days and haven't found any reasons to swap back it's fixes. (Unlike FO4 patch, where I have edited back some "judgement calls".)

I have no idea what you are asking with the tree question. Can you elaborate a bit further?

Wait for few ingame days and then check back. Merchant inventories usually refresh themselves within two ingame days.

I think you mean Hearthfire houses with the last one? There are three of them. You can build them, after certain missions in the game. The Lakeview is the easiest to get. Jarl of Falkreeth will send you a note after level 9, inviting you to his hold. Following that questline allows you to purchase the plot and build the mansion as you want to. It has option for greenhouse and garden outside.

No, it is not a patch. It is a mod which changes interactions with NPCs. If you install it you won't be able to borrow horses from farms or gain access to their interiors by selling the NPC potatoes or wheat. I do not recommend it.

It is also important to see the below (from the PINNED TOPIC Helpful Links and References, when considering responses to questions in the forums, as there is so much misinformation and poor advice floating around (such as the above) - as Ilja alluded to in his post:

If you have cancer I DON"T recommend Chemo as it will make you sick and your hair fallout (This is grade A top of the line sarcasm, grown in the foothills of Purple Mountains Majesty and fed on Amber waves of Grain, use responsibly)

Seriously....My Ahole inhibitors are kicking in now. Best $45.29 I ever spent.

Using USSEP will fix a lot of annoying bugs, and it will also remove many exploits that folks like, such as the hidden Dawnstar merchant chest. If you plan on installing other mods USSEP will probably be required.
If you're willing to add a mod, there are several that increase merchant gold.
Depending on which version of the game you have, there are many houses with gardens/greenhouses. SE has 3 you can choose to build, AE adds 6 more, most with some type of planting area.
If you have a lot of bugs, it might be worth deleting/reinstalling your game.

I won't recommend against it but this is definitely not the only reason to avoid using USSEP.
I don't use it because I find the way they define and fix bugs questionable

The Unofficial Patch has pros and cons. The pros however outweigh the cons by a good amount and the cons can be more easily ignored than the bugs of an unpatched game. Hence do many people play with the Unofficial Patch, making it the most frequently used mod of them all.

There are also some mods by other authors that undo a few fixes and features of the Unofficial Patch for those who have an issue. It is worth looking for those mods when one has got a problem with the Unofficial Patch and can make more sense than choosing to play completely without it.

I haven't used any kind of exploit, I don't like to play games like that.

Thank you all Skyrim community make my adventure the best PC experience I've ever had.

The adventure asks me to revive a tree.

Taking wise from another.

Carrying a new tree sprout.

What happens is that the dead tree is left with a new tree inside? one above another.

I know Skyrim has a lot of bugs but I'm still enjoying it.
Would the unofficial patch fix this? Where are my save files to save them. With all the time I've spent playing and noticing that the game seems to get bigger with every step I take, I feel like I'd cry like a baby if anything happened to my game.

oh, I see what you're talking about the "The Blessings of Nature" quest.
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Blessings_of_Nature

bugs: "If you choose the sapling option, the Gildergreen in Whiterun will show the new sapling growing inside the frame of the old tree. This is because the old tree is not removed by the game."
Yes, it's one of the bugs fixed by the Unofficial patch mod.

Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong.

The Unofficial Patch can be installed at any time, though there may be a very few bugs, that if already triggered, cannot be fixed retroactively.

And as you can see from the above post by Arthmoor, it is important to know from whom you are getting information from - hence the link I provided regarding Reliable Forum Regulars. There is a LOT pf misinformation floating around about many things - and not just the Patch. And although Arthmoor, myself, and some few others try to catch and correct as much as possible, we cannot catch it all. Bottom line - consider the source and check the PINNED TOPICS for correct and up to date information if in doubt.

And I am glad you are enjoying the game and the community. The Skyrim community is one of the best there is, and there are very many people ready to help or just discuss the game and share their experiences. Once again, enjoy!

Just be careful where you go, because BGS modding also has a dark side just below the surface.
Vlad 254 May 17, 2023 @ 5:05pm
Folks often want to create a boogyman for new players. The patch is something I would not play without and that includes an "unmodded" game let alone a modded game where in the latter case many mods require the USSEP. Misguided info helps no one.
