I recommend taking a look at "Simplest Horses" or "Simple Horse SE", they don't have a map marker, but they allow you to call your horse.
However both require SKSE + SkyUi.
Of course, there are also the big ones Convenient Horses & Immersive Horses, but they also change their stats, something you don't seem to be interested in.
Yeah. I've spent a lot of time in-game with mods, I wanted to play through this time without any mods that directly altered anything in game, or gave me any sort of advantages I otherwise wouldn't, even if it's a minor stat re-balance. Ah well. I'll just hoof it until I randomly come across my trusty steed again, or can buy another one. Thanks.
