How Can Skyrim Only Made 227 Awards VS Elden Ring?
I think its baffling how can Elden Ring won 331 awards where Skyrim only
won 227 where Skyrim has so much content story, followers, mods, factions etc
So much more what Elden Ring has,but why should have more awards than Skyrim?

So Skyrim sequel should have 500 awards?
Elden Ring sold 20 million Skyrim 30 million.Does not make sense?

To answer your questions:
1) It seems people care about the challenge, items variety and more complex combat system.
2) Skyrim sold 30 millions in 10 years.
Elden Ring sold 20 millions in 1 year.

Still love Skyrim more though. It allows more immersion and i love immersion.

Just to set the record straight Skyrim sold 30 Million copies by 2016 (that's 5 yrs).

Not a question that interests me, none the less I guess the question is will Elden Ring still be going as strong as Skyrim in after 10 years.

Games live longer if they have either online or/and mod support.

Elden Ring has neither. I don't with that game harm, that's just the fact, and i love neither mods nor online.

probably because there have not been really good open rpg epics recently.

those are great sales in a short amount of time.

Elden Ring has online multi-player functionality just like the Souls-games and it also has modding though lesser than the Elder Scrolls series does due to both engine limitations and the fact that one has to use a special tool to allow one to use mods while playing a separate online version of the game.

Compared to Dark Souls games ER barely has any online.

There were also probably fewer award-granting publications during the years of Skyrim's release than there were during Elden Ring's release.

After 12 years of research and and deep contemplation of the issue, I have decided to give Skyrim my award for "Best Depiction of a Cheese Wheel in a Game Released in Calendar Year 2011"

This is a very prestigious award which Elden Ring will never be worthy of and Skyrim can now proudly boast receiving 228 awards.

One of my favorite games, Dying Light 1, has like over 10 million copies easily and doesn't have any of these "GOTY" awards

You should know by now that these GOTY are not at all accurate and do not represent the general consensus of actual players, they are won by certain "critics'" choices

The same kind of critics who actually gave TLOU2 a win over Ghost of Tsushima although the latter was the obvious choice for the majority of the people, there were even polls done with overwhelming majority of people voting for GOT over TLOU2

Don't believe any of these game awards, man, they are all a big fat lie
