Why are half the mods for this game NSFW?

To be honest I use to play this game for the NSFW mods but now that I find they are not worth it and are really boring once you look at it. Now I just go for the cool combat, quests and immersion mods without needing a anime girl with big jiggling tits, lol.

I cant find any mods I want without usually seeing some NSFW mod, why are these modder's so horny?

You've sat with the NSFW so long that you've lost orientation in how to look for other things is my guess. Also nsfw if ticked in the filters by default when you browse the nexus. My problem is similar - I always have to untick translations to get into anything sensible.
I also get the feeling that some mods get tagged as adult beyond the call of duty.

Just starting to mod Skyrim myself and mostly finding sensible stuff

I just now figured out how to censor the NSFW stuff, hopefully this will allow me to stay focused on safe for work mods.

If you gonna ask this question, take a look at the bigger picture ... pornography in general in the lives of teens and kids... everyone is horny, that's why.

Of course, I also used lewd mods and I even played with female characters with half-naked armors ... I can't really explain why, I was just a horny highschooler with too much time on my hands and no real relationship I guess.

But now ... I only use texture mods to keep my game closer to vanilla ... for example yes I do use CBBE because it is required by some mods, but I don't enable nakedness in game, I don't install breasts and butts physics, and overall I'm not transforming my game into a sexual fantasy like I did before in LE, and I have more fun with this ... now when I'm looking back while reading this, I get so many flashbacks of how cringey I was ...

the best way to find mod you looking for is by using the "mod categories" tab anyway

That is only remotely true if one goes to Loverslab which is divided into Adult and non-adult sections. At best, in general modding scene, it makes up 1-10 %.
Well, that is unless one works in a job with low tolerance for the most tepid TV-14 equivalent content.

Mods -> Browse All

On that screen there should be a bar that says "Refine Results"

In the block that pops up, there should be a box that says "Attributes"

Uncheck "Include Adult Files"

You are just focusing on the 15% because when you see the 3 NSFW mods out of 20 on a page of mods, it adds to your confirmation bias.

As for why there are 8650 adult-mods to begin with.

It's because not everybody is trapped in the 1950s, and thinks that consensual sex / pornographic content is immoral, evil and satanic.

The game is also M-Rated part of a series that started off fairly 'NSFW'.
That would have been the simple answer but the fact that between the Nexus, Loverslab, Vector Plexis, Tumblr, Twitter and Blog Spot, the amount comes down to 15% at most but likely closer to 10% overall would have rendered that answer false anyway as the question was built on an untruth. .
