bugs in jars display case

Help, I lost my bugs in jars. I now have a bliss bug in a jar. I had other bugs, and I feel I placed them in a display case. I thought it was myrwatch. When I went there, there is indeed a case for bugs, but no bliss bug and none of my other bugs are there either. Is there another display case somewhere?

It is possible that those jars have just vanished. It's a known bug for many of the CC houses - those jars may vanish from their places. If this is the case - to compensate just use console to give yourself another copy of all vanished jars.

I believe there are four CC houses with places for those jars:
Bloodchill Manor
Hendraheim
Myrwatch
Tundra Homestead

Be aware CC house are known to lose items, mostly weapons on weapon racks (especially specialised weapon racks or plaques), but would not be surprised to find them losing Bugs in Jars.

These houses seem to now be incorporated into the Anniversary Edition. Do you know if they were taken over, bugs and all?

Well since AE is just a bundle of CC mods there will have been no changes.
AE isn't another version, it's just a code that unlocks all CC mods.

There's an "unofficial patch" mod for CC content that are in the Anniversary DLC on Nexus. See if it covers some fixes that prevents respawning/losing items.

Unfortunately there is not any special storage for the bug jars that are introduced by the cc. eg. Bliss bug, purple butterfly. Any unique item introduced by the cc for that matter.

I can also confirm that the unique display racks are sometimes buggy. In hendrahiem, the plaque for the ebony blade will drop the blade on the floor whenever I leave the cell. For me this was fixed by going in to QUI and spawning the other ebony blade and that has worked so far.
