Is thier a mod that will allow me to have a larger party like with at least 5 followers?

There are several. I currently use Extensible Follower Framework.

With no mod at all I currently have: Jenassa, The Spectral Assassin, a riekling warrior, the manic elytra, a flame thrall and Barbas. Quite a nice crew of misfits I´d say :)
