Need advice on NPC Replacer Mods

So I'm currently using Vortex to run and manage mods and I've downloaded and used several NPC Replacers already, mostly individual ones to replace Lydia or Jenessa for example and I've also downloaded Coldsun's packs as it gives you the option to choose which NPC's you want.
However a few other NPC's I want to replace are in different big packs and they don't give you the option to pick and choose which individual NPCs you want, I can't figure out EasyNPC and I can't find any easy to follow instructions on how to use it.
So if I want to install some of the big packs without using EasyNPC, to resolve the conflicts with Vortex do I choose to load the packs after or before the replacers I already have? I don't want to loose the ones I already have if that makes sense, any help or tips would be great :)

You need to load the packs before any of the individual replacers that you want to keep, making sure that the individual replacers win all conflicts and are lower in the load order than the packs - or else you will get the dark face bug.
