For those that are part of the main game* the four free CC content can be "disabled" by removal. However, it's done at your own risk. A most safe approach is to use mod(s) to have it not present in your worldspace, such as https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80697 (although I have seen a better one, but somehow I am unable to find that one ...)
* I am talking about the four free CC content, given as part of the Anniversary Edition update , namely Fishing, Rare Curios, Saint and Seducers and Survival Mode
I continued a game just recently, for some reason some CC stuff had been uninstalled, I didn't know this, till i loaded the game and it flashed up X-x is missing, do u want to load any-way? So i did, and it loaded, and off i went.
I then wanted the missing MODS, so i resaved the game, re-installed the uninstalled CC stuff, and reload the game, and off i went.
That's not to say it dosnt happen, it just hasent happened to me..
Then i've never broken a bone neither.
When you set it it will download all 70 creations from the AE DLC during your next run of the game. When you unset it - nothing happens.
But the AE content can be uninstalled manually. All of it or only some of the creations. Well, except those 4, yes.
To do this one needs to manually delete these files:
I sorted them in alphabetical order by the creation name. Keep in mind that instead of the creation name the actual path is your Skyrim folder.
Just remove those 3 files for each creation you want to uninstall. A little boring if you want to uninstall a lot of creations. But pretty doable.
