Can't find ruins of Bthalft

The quest with the Aetherium Shards is ridiculous. I have all 4 shards and now there is no map marker. Google says to go to the ruins of Bthalft. One search result says it is east of Ivarstead, the other says it is northwest or Riften. WTF? This is the most aggravating quest in this entire playthrough.

Once you have all four shards, find your way to the Imperial Camp in the Rift (near the Alchemist's Shack just South of Ivarstead). Just to the East of the Imperial Camp is a Dwemer ruin occupied by bandits. Dispatch the bandits and follow the quest queues.

I found it and completed the quest. Worst quest in the game. I have explored 90% of the map and they just want you to happen upon this location? I found the first two shards over 200 hrs ago. All that time playing the game and never came across this ruin or the bridge that one of the shards are located at. For a game that gives you a quest marker for most everything, this was dumb.

you just missed something. The journal has a map that gives you a rough place to look for all the locations. The bridge one is annoying because the plague ruins are so close everything makes you want to go there if its your first time.

How do you get to Autumnwatch tower and not see the ruins of Bthalft? You practically have to stumble across it to get the word of Power.

Not if you go via the imperial camp. Then you can easily miss it.
