Dragonborn DLC question
Is it important to do the main quest in the original game (kill dragon Alduin) before doing the Dragonborn expansion content?

Just wondering because I've already done the Alduin quest line on a previous playthrough and might skip it unless it's important for the expansion.

Thanks!

No, you can do any questline in the order you want. But you have to have the appropriate level before you can start Dragonborn. If so, you will be attacked by Miraak's cultists and the questline will automatically start, but you can prospone the questline to your convenience, as with any other questline.

You can start Dragonborn at level one, I wouldn't recommend it but there is no minimum level to start the quest. The only requirement is doing Dragon Rising, allowing dragons to spawn around the world.

@OP: You have to kill the first Dragon before you can begin the Dragonborn DLC's main quest, but you're not required to kill Alduin or progress any further than that. It's also recommended to have a few souls saved up before you do it.
