(Solved) Skyrim won't load past Bethesda logo
I'm booting up my game and it will load the Bethesda logo but the taskbar is stilling showing and after the logo disappears, everything is just a black screen. I can hear the opening music playing and I can hear the game selecting buttons after pressing 'enter' but once I've pressed enter twice the entire game will crash.
I have just reinstalled the game twice, deleting the entire 'Skyrim elder scrolls special edition' folder and reinstalling to get the default files replaced in case of a corrupted scenario or messing around with mods. My Skyrim is now completely base game without any mods but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help?
Edit: I solved the problem by installing Vortex. I can't go into the details of how it was fixed since my father was the one to make it work. Although lowering the graphics did help as it was one of the major issues
Thanks to everyone for their help!

In order to return the game to a clean vaniila state follow this guide:

but follow each and every step.

once finished with the above and you confirm your game launches properly you can then start modding.

What used to work for that was to select (right click) the SkyrimSELauncher.exe and go to properties then the compatibility tab and switch "Run this program to run in compatibility mode for" to Windows 7

SkyrimSELauncher.exe is located here:
steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition

if that doesn't help then be sure to switch it back to what it was.

Choose your normal resolution at the beginning, and tick windowed/borderless at down left on the screen.Your problem will be solved

If that doesn't work.
Try right clicking SkyrimSE.exe > Properties
under compatibility > Change high DPI settings
Click Override high DPI scaling behaviour and set scaling performed by: to Application.

It could be a scaling issue with windows that causes some apps to 'zoom in'

ini files? Try deleting them. Maybe find default location of load order file as well and delete everything for skyrim there. MO2 can have its own profile ini's set so if you did that delete those as well.
