SHALIDORS INSIGHTS QUEST---Bug??

I've killed all of the bandits in the cave, but the door to access the book won't open. I've looked everywhere IO can think of, but I can't find any way to get that final door to open. Is this a bug, or am I just missing something?

Which cave are we talking about, because first of all the locations are random and secondly it's a repeatable quest. I mean it could be that particular section is quest locked by another quest.

I'm in the Serpent's Bluff ruins, where I was directed to go, trying to get the book of Shalidors writings, and there is a gate with no apparent way to open it, preventing access to the book. If there's a switch somewhere, I am unable to find it.

It looks like to open the gate you need to activate a pressure plate, dragging an item on top of it will open the gate.

I'm going to go check it out myself.

Yep, That was it, like in the video, put something on the plate.

Yea it wasn't clear from the get go I also struggled the first time with that gate.
