I can't launch Skyrim SE on Windows 11

I installed this game for the first time IN MY LIFE and I immediately ran into a crash as I was trying to launch it. I went on to try to see any corruption to any of its files and there wasn't any problem there. I also tried reinstalling it and running it as an administrator which had not effect. I checked the updates for both the GPU drives and Windows- and tried to run the game in offline mode and that didn't work neither. I did every thing that I heard about to fix the issue and nothing seems to work. Any help please? >< (BTW, I have no modes whatsoever)

its skyrim, me i run the latest win 11 update. and Skyrim runs fine. you might want to look into the https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266. it fixes a lot of issues, as well as other bug fixes for skyrim. Also are you running AE or SE, one with all CC mods or the OG SSE game. if you are using the AE version youll need https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18975 as well. even with all that it Skyrim you will get crashes.

I am on Windows 10 so not sure if 11 might be the issue or not but I had instant crash when trying to start a new game because I had a bunch of mods installed. I had to disable them, start the game, let it write ini files and then enable my mods again.

I run the SE version and I have no idea what would cause such issue while playing it for the first time.

Is it a windows clean install? Make sure that these tools are also installed:

-Direct X 11
-dotNET Framework 4.6
- Visual Studio C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86 and x64 Editions)

If the game can't write to the save directory, it will crash. Check that SE's launcher has been added to ransomware's list of approved apps. Ransomware protection is on by default.
Saves and other data are in \Documents which has restricted access.

game launcher needs to create folder
Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition
folder should contain files Skyrim.ini SkuyrimPrefs.ini
and after game starts your saves folder.

if these files are missing also besides no saves
neither steam nor the game installer nor the game make any changes to windows security.

check antivirus log? might be blocking game/game launcher.

check windows security/controlled folder access.
if on add exceptions for game launcher/game.

check windows event viewer and also windows reliability history.
might be a game crash event or system related problems.

running Windows One Drive? One Drive moves the ini/preference files to the one drive.
modify one drive to exclude the game folder.

run game from game folder .exe and NOT from steam library or an icon.
sometimes an error msg (missing library) appears not hidden by steam

Thanks a lot! I've started thinking about refund. Disabled OneDrive synking of the files "C:\Users\myuser\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\*" and run the game from here "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\SkyrimSELauncher" as Administrator. I'm using fresh Windows 11 with latest nvidia drivers, windows updates and Skyrim Special Addition
