A possible way to fix Illia's glitch by using permanent item

Hi folks. There is a well-known glitch that Illia will "respawn", making her relationship with the player reset so you cannot recruit her again after dismissing her. Her inventory will be reset over time too.

And I know we can use some "permanent items" such as numbered treasure maps to prevent corpses from being cleared. I was wondering whether we can use the same item to prevent Illia from respawning. Even if we may not be able to recruit her again, we can prevent the weapons we give her from disappearing from her inventory by giving her a treasure map.

Recently I don't have time to play Skyrim, but I am really interested in this possibility. Can anybody make a test on this hypothesis?

Unofficial Patch does not just fix the glitch, it will also make some other changes I don't like. Besides, in general, I don't like any unofficial modifications.

You should not presume everyone uses the unofficial patch like you. I also assumed that those who left comments didn't use it.

I would suggest that you get the straight up facts about the patch, and not rely on hearsay, innuendo, or personal assumptions. See the PINNED TOPIC regarding the Unofficial Patch for what it fixes and why:

And, as DMPR alluded to, since so many solutions for bugs rely upon the Patch, we really cannot help anyone who refuses to use it.

Then you have to accept that bugs like these will happen, You either use the patch, accept the bugs, or write your own patch.
