Just hit your right stick's centre button to switch to 3rd person?
Not sure how this relates to Dragon Age though?
SmoothCam
True Directional Movement
Better Third Person Selection
And their requirements, obviously.
That’s ofc if you want to use mods, if you don’t then you’re stuck with the awful vanilla 3rd person cam which is not designed to be used to actually play the game.
Only one you really do need is TDM.
The other 2 not so much.. They might help, but are by no means required for 3rd person gameplay. I don't use either, only TDM, and play almost exclusively in 3rd person.
I would say that a mod such as "Third person 1st person aiming", would be of more use. It would switch you to 1st person on aiming a bow or magic, and switch you back the moment you stopped.
SmoothCam dramatically improves the camera whilst in third person if you find the right preset to your liking. For me, I always like using Verolevi’s Modern Camera Preset. It’s very similar to how most 3rd person action/adventure games have their cameras set up.
BTPS is a must if you’re gonna use third person exclusively. Otherwise, selecting and activating things becomes rather tedious while trying to line your crosshair up just right. BTPS also makes you able to easily and quickly harvest or pick up items on horseback/on the move, and has various features where you can do things like tell it not to show items that would count as being stolen (at all, only in sneak mode, or only when not in an NPCs line of sight), and more.
Btps make it tricky for me when I try to speak with someone surrounded with objects like tavern owners, it often dont select the right thing and I end up with guards chassing me
I can't really answer....
Skyrim's camera handles like any other 3rd person game i've played with a controller, so it seems rather pointless to me if im completely honest...
Maybe it improves it for some people, but i really don't see the need for it.
yeah i have noticed that but it's not -that- bad. About the hardest thing i find is picking up arrows or lone coins, but 99% of the time its not even worth the time picking that kind of thing up. Rings and Gems have quite large hitboxes so i don't find those that much of an issue.
The worst for this is when im using Vampire Lord form, probably because of the offset vanilla camera, but i don't really go around looting when using that so it's basically a non-issue for me.
That just sounds annoying more than anything!
