Where did my amber go?

I know for a fact I collected some amber when I was going through the Solitude sewers. I have no amber in my inventory. I am using the Adventurer's Basement mod which auto sorts everything but I can't find it there either. Is it possible I used it in some crafting recipe? I don't have the glass armor perk in the smithing tree so I haven't crafted any amber armor. That is what I am wanting to do but amber is really scarce. I just went back to the Solitude sewers and only got about 5 amber. I feel like I have bought some from the Khajit traders as well. Is there some sort of bug where it disappears from your inventory?

I have also checked my inventory for refined amber and have none.
