Levelling faster than usual
I was running through Helgen to get my character ready for Skyrim together, but I somehow levelled up twice on the first fight with the imperial captain and another time with the next captain in the potion room.

Left Helgen with almost 5 levels anyone know why I'm levelling up so fast?

My friend left Helgen without even reaching level 2.

I've made 2 levels, but never 5 or close to it in Helgen. I got nuthin.

I was level 7 when I left Riverwood and made it to level 9 on the road to Whiterun as well so I don't think it'll stop any time soon so maybe i'll find out later in the run, thanks anyway man I'll make sure to update this if I do figure it out.

Any chance you are the host and getting all the exp or maybe most?

Doing a quick search brings up multiple people saying similar things, and all using Skyrim Together.

My friend is the one hosting it and it was giving me ridiculous levels before we connected online.

I searched for a lot and couldn't find anything so I'm not sure about that but it shouldn't be Skyrim together because my friend was complaining about levelling too slow to keep up with me even when I joined him.

There is not much help that can be given if you are using Skyrim Together, as the game is not designed to be multiplayer, and by using Skyrim Together, you are changing things to be outside the design parameters. Using Skyrim Together is a do at your own risk, and if you have issues with the game, you need to contact the Skyrim Together developers.

well I can say it isn't anything to do with Skyrim together because I disabled that and started a new game and was still levelling the same.

Your best bet is to do a clean reinstall - that will ensure that everything is up to date and any old mod files that may be left over are removed (this is often the issue, leftover mod files - simply uninstalling and reinstalling the game will not fix this). Follow the below guide - and follow it EXACTLY and to the letter, skipping nothing:

Once that is done (and DO NOT clean or edit the Master files or any Creation Club content), check on a pure vanilla game just to ensure the game launches and initially plays as it should. Then add mods in gradually and test as per the following:

Good luck!
