I just remembered. I BELIEVE she can't be added to Framework Mods like other Followers. It might mess her up. I think after Dawnguard quests are done it might be safe, but I am far from a Serena Expert and definately not proficient with AFT.
Many Serana mod authors have said the same thing.
But anyway, I hope that in Skyrm you could give your followers a new home on vanilla.
Bloodchill Manor(CC content) would be a good place for Serana to live andnot some Fort Dawnguard.
But note this, this can interfere with other mods as well, this is why I have AFT placed as high as possible, because I only wanted Essential for followers and this is why I don't use AFT features on Serana because it's already Essential by default.
For example, serana mods don't like it if AFT overrides them.
1.AFT
2. Some Serana mod
Result: some AFT features do not work(well) on Serana
1. Serana Mod/other mods which effect to her
2.AFT
Result: AFT work(maybe) also on Serana but cause black face issue etc etc etc.
You probably already know this, but if you don't, I recommend you try it:
