LOTD Sequel?
I was watching a Heavy Burns video earlier today (the one focused on Solitude), and about 3/4ths of the way through he briefly covers Legacy of the Dragonborn and makes a comment about how a “sequel” is forthcoming.

That video was posted two years ago.

I’ve never heard about a LOTD sequel before, has anyone else?

Is it something that’s actively being worked on, or did it get scrapped (or just turned into an update to the main mod)?

I just started playing around with LOTD and have barely scratched the surface, but even so I can see why this is one of the most popular and beloved mods out there. I’m curious though if this supposed sequel fell through or if it’s just being worked on still behind the scenes.

If you use the curator's companion you may want to get an older version of the mod as the current version disables the craftloot feature.

Ya, but it takes years to get it right.
They are requesting help I think it is on their discord.
If you think you can contribute look them up.

Of course.

Without even fully experiencing LOTD yet, it’s obvious that it’s a very large and all-encompassing mod.

I mean, how many other mods do you see people telling you to build your LO around?

I imagine any kind of sequel would be even larger and more complex.

I’m just kinda surprised that a Heavy Burns video from 2 years ago is the only mention of it I’ve come across, and that made me wonder if it fell through at some point during those years or if it actually is being worked on but very quietly.

How long before the release of LOTD did you hear about it.

I think they were and are so large they didn’t know if they would be finished or released, why add outside influence or pressure.
I remember large projects and we were glad to not have people breathing down our necks.

I stepped away from playing Skyrim with any degree of seriousness from about 2014 to 2020-21 so I didn’t even know LOTD was a thing until a few years ago and its massiveness made me apprehensive to plug it into my game until about a month ago.

So yeah, I have no idea how much they may have advertised it or hyped it up ahead of its release in 2017.

I would think though with how incredibly popular it ended up becoming, that at the very least the fans would be talking about it and obsessing over any/all bits of information they could find about it.

Ah well, it’s good to know they’re still working on it. Maybe I’ll actually complete a full LOTD playthrough by the time they release it haha.
