You can also use the setrelationshiprank console command on Brunwulf and put it at a 2 or higher. This will cause the relationship status to be high enough to allow for the dialog option to appear.
Keep in mind, the Become Thane quest requirements of the usual radiant quest, property purchase, and help [3-5] residents are all still predominantly necessary. Since I don't know your exact setup, even these results may vary.
