During The Companions or Fighter's Guild Story Arc, does Skyrim force you to become a werewolf as its unavoidable without the 3 Day Countdown Incubation?

yep you have to be a werewolf to progress in the story line that said you can cure yourself at a certain point

yea unfortunately. You can refuse, but then they all just kinda sit there indefinitely waiting for you to become a wolf

There is no incubation period like vamprism, it's instant. That said you never have to actually use the form after the first transformation, you just get to enjoy the complete disease immunity.

Well yes, but the companions questline is optional, you don't have to join.....

The Hircine Daedra mission though does curse you with a ring that causes you to spontaneously transform unless you've already cured yourself.

There is a weakness though. Or was it the mod I was playing?
You have weakness to silver alongside the disease immunity.
I dont remember now If it was part of vanilla.

By the way, that's also the ... 'sad' part of doing Companions guild. Obviously with the first character it was awesome. Now... :x

So in Early Elder Scrolls Games, when a Vampire/Werewolf Disease forced onto the player through story-related, it would be a single free shot with a 3 day countdown.

Dawnguard had a Forced Vampire Curse for the Dark Route but only if the player accepted the Vampire Blood

Only the cursed ring does that, if you finish the quest before becoming a werewolf, or do it quickly it won't matter.

Mod, werewolves do not have a weakness to silver normally. The only "weakness" for werewolves is the loss of the sleeping bonus, which isn't a big deal.

Even though you theoretically have disease immunity, in practice because of game bugs you can still get diseases as a werewolf, unless you wear a 100% disease immunity necklace.

My character has on one occasion contracted a disease even while wearing the 100% immunity necklace. Because nothing is 100%. That said one time is nothing considering the thousands of hours I've played this game.

I really wish there was an official SE version of Enhanced Skyrim Factions - The Companions Guild. I use a personal port. It allows you to refuse the Beast Blood. It irked me that for people claiming to be "The Best of the Best" that they were cheating cheater Cheaters.

Plus I hate Daedra.

I think being immune doesn't stop traps from giving you diseases. It seems they were coded differently than an animal attack and bypass the normal immunity.

Hey, we all know Skyrim isn't a game, it's actually a huge group of bugs mixed together.

Some of these bugs can be bypassed using the Console Commands or by returning to the Title Screen and reloading a saved game to fix a texture bug.
