I think either your Steam cache or files are corrupted, if game is trying to update itself constantly.
To clear the cache:
Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache
Note that this process WILL require you to log in back to client with your password.
Validating files:
Steam client > Library view > Right click the game.
Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files
Note that this WILL reset your INI-files.
I do not actually believe that this would fix the problem with .dll, but there is little reason to hunt it down before fixing your game files being constantly changed by ghost updates.
We have ways to protect ourselves from legit updates. We can get to that.
I disabled all my mods and the game launched
I guess I can go through enabling each mod until I get the crash but what a ball ache!!!
