help.... i hit purge not deploy
now all my plugins are gone, anyway to get them back without reinstalling all my 500 mods

Yeah.
Deploy, or restart Vortex.

Purge is a cleanup process. If files are installed, then they will get deployed again on Vortex restart. It is meant to clear obsolete links from Data folder, if any are left behind.

all plugins are in the SKSE plugin folder. but they are not sowing in vortex. i ran purge and deploy , also restarted vortex. nothing
ive also disabled and enabled all mods , nothing shows up in plugings

ran a small test, only way to get them back is to reinstall. no sure how all this plugins vanished. ive ran purge before and it never made that happen

That is weird. Usually purge does not do that.

I have once witnessed this myself. That was with Cyberpunk 2077, but I thought that it was a bug with beta level Vortex plugin, because I have never seen that again.

I would try a disable all and then enable all, followed by deploy. You should not have to reinstall.

i tried that a few times. reinstall is all that seems to work. no clue how the plugins vanished

That is strange, but it seems like you got it fixed though :steamthumbsup:
I total broke Vortex about a month back, but I was moving files around within vortex to generate grass files for different game versions. I had it so broken, when re-installing mods it wanted to delete files instead. Lets just say I did not try that method again after fully deleting and reinstalling everything. lol

yea, but over 500 mods , is not easy to re do.
