Need Help With Frostfall
The changes I make to Armor & Clothing warmth and coverage will not stick. It immediately changes back to default. Has anyone dealt with this and know how to get the changes to take effect? I am on PC and using MO2 and all my stuff is up to date.

Only thing I can think of is it records the information in Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\FrostfallData and something is preventing it. The specific File is called armor_profile1.json

Here is what I recommend. Ensure your Frostfall and Campfire installations are correct and right (I can't advise with Mod Managers of any sort). Pre Requisites are met and everything good with the install.

Be aware that FrostFall and Campfire have not been updated by the Mod Author in quite some time. Fortunately some members of the Modding Community have stepped up with fixes. I am pretty sure this one is a good one to use but check there are none more recent.

Ensure you have the proper Papyrus version for your Game Version as well as SKSE.

If all that is good and you have no protected folder issues (Microsoft Defender alerts) or other AV Issues. Let us know and we can try something else to narrow down the issue.

Thank you! I'll do this and get back to you. Thank!

This didn't fix my issue. I still can't save the changes I make to Armor and Clothing Warmth and Coverage.

Try reinstalling Papyrus and make sure it overwrites any other version from any other mod. Some mods have Papyrus included but they are older versions and will not work.

For more info regarding Frostfall, you can refer to this:

That didn't work for me. No idea what's wrong with this.

Sorry that did not work - it usually is the issue in situations like the one you are having. I would guess that you tried reinstalling Frostfall as well, so I really do not know what could be the causing the issue. You could try posting your sorted load order so that people can take a look at it and see if anything stands out as possibly causing the issue. For MO2 users, your Mod Organizer 2 installation folder has a folder named profiles.
Under profile name (Default, or separately named) has both load order and mod list as TXT-files. You can copy and paste the load order directly from loadorder.txt file here.
It might be worth posting the content of modlist.txt as other reply, because there might be resource conflicts that we can spot.

The only other thing I can think of is to troubleshoot with a completely new game following this general outline:
Troubleshooting Your Load Order
https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/3109142236155416522/
after doing a clean reinstall by following this exactly:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2743619856
Above links both from PINNED TOPIC Helpful Links and References, Section 5 - General Troubleshooting.

While that may not be something you wish to do right now on your current playthrough, you should do it before starting a new one.

Hopefully someone else will come up with some idea or see something in your load order.

Good luck and keep us informed, Wild Child.

Any chance you do NOT have Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable installed?

Not sure what Operating System you have but its possible.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

I use Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 and have a habit of repairing or reinstalling periodically as I don't trust when major Windows Updates or Steam reinstalls its redistributables.

I don't think it can hurt but I have been out of the "Tech Game" for almost 8 years and I definitely have degraded.

This didn't help. I'm running Windows 10.

Do you have JContainers SE - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16495

use this one (the second file) for the current game version:
JContainers SE SKSE 2.2.2 / SSE (SAE) 1.6.640

That allows information as to mods to be stored

I am a longtime fan of Frostfall and used it constantly with LE. However, SE version has more bugs and issues that I care to count.

If this remains as a problem for you, then you could try swapping to more compatible survival mod, which is also supported by control panel to change gear values.

Survival Control Panel
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41891

Swapping from Frostfall wasn't easy for me and I still miss several things from it. However, unless Chesko comes back, or someone takes another look at unofficial patch for Frostfall, it just isn't worth the headache at it's current state.

Something to think about, if you get frustrated fighting with it.

:steamthis:  This might be a better bet for you, Wild Child, even if they do not have all the features that Frostfall has.

Ah, too bad. You might be better going with Ilja's suggestions then. Good luck and I hope you get things going as you wish - or at least close to it!
