vortex failed to get list of collections.

Something about black tree gaming. I was at bleakfalls and couldnt keep restoration and destrruction on both hands. Maybe i should try using steam .i also have race menu error though when i use steam

I just had that Vortex error as well. On two different games and I have no collections. I did file a bug report.

Edit: Both of my games ran fine.

Just ran into this when I started Vortex to install some Fallout 4 mods, any ideas what it is? Doesn't seem to affect anything in-game and I'm still able to download and install mods.

I haven't seen this yet.
Are you experiencing this when logging in to Vortex/ I ask because I'm always logged in to Vortex so when i open it i don't have to sign in. This seems like it could be an issue.

I don't use Collections either so what I would do until a solution is available is the following. That is if you do not use Collections.

First sign out of Vortex
Go to "Extensions" in Vortex
use the search bar and type "Extension" (without the quotes)
then disable the Collections Dashlet
sign in to Vortex and check for message

Sounds like a hiccup with vortex, possibly from an update or something

IMHO collections are totally ignorant. Will d/l any crap without regard for what will work or not. A really stupid idea.

Yeah, I got the same problem, OP. When a new update came out it broke like 20 mods I had and I thought "♥♥♥♥, well I don't have time for this, I'll fix it later". Come back like a month later and none of my mods are showing. Only error is it couldn't load the collection even though I never had one to begin with. Really don't know whats going on, but I'll come back here and explain if I figure something out.

Yeah, got it working from that forum. Seems like its a new bug so I wouldn't worry about the collections having to be permanently disabled. Cleared all my searches too. For anyone having this in the future and if that link doesn't stay around forever, basically go to Extensions tab in Vortex, disable the Collections tab, and then restart to get rid of the error.
