Change children clothes, why is this impossible?

Here's an example:
I want to change Dagnys (Baalgrufs daughter) clothes to Hearthfires childrenclothes v4 or v5 (grey or yellow dress). I find mods that can give them like _anything else_ to wear, except the real vanilla kids clothes. The problem with the mods seems to be that kids clothes are misc items, not "real" clothes. But is this STILL a thing that cannot be done even with console commands?? I can't find anything that does this.
There seems to have been a mod named Tailor's measure (at least it was for oldrim) that did it but it's gone and buried, probably not working for SE/AE anyway. And believe me, I tried every single mod I found in nexus related to this. None of them do what I need.
Just pleeeeeease give me the console command that does the trick, if there is one! :D

Because I hate that they all dress the same. I didn't ask anybodys opinion about this, if you don't have the answer, feel free to get lost. :)

I also said I tried all the mods and I don't like them. I don't want my kids to look like p3do anime characters that use adult clothes with b00bs just in smaller scale. I have a mod that enhances the kids faces a bit and that's enough for me.

I WANT TO CHANGE THE VANILLA KIDS CLOTHES TO NPC KIDS. Period. If you don't understand the question, ask an adult to explain it to you. :)

Default child race characters can not simply swap clothing outside of Hearthfire's adoptee clothing switch function. The other options are to:
1. Create a plug-in, search for the child character who you want to re-dress then switch them over to the preset outfit from another child character.
2. Use a mod which changes the appearance of their default clothing like this one.
