Mod Organizer 2 acting weird - Assistance Please
I just recently got Skyrim SE and started playing. I added a few mods and everything was working fine. Yesterday the framerate got extremely slow and choppy. Even running just the same 50 or so mods as when it was running smooth. I just now noticed that if I go into the task manager, there are about 8 or 10 instances of Mod Organizer 2 all running simultaneously, using up 100% of the CPU. I ended all of them but one, and suddenly the game was running smooth again. Can anyone tell why this is happening and how to prevent it every time I launch the game with SKSE64 through Mod Organizer 2?

In case it's important, it started happening after I launched Skyrim through the game itself, not through SKSE in Mod Organizer. I was just trying to get to the Options menu at the beginning, I didn't even load or continue a save file. (I was making sure the game didn't have the "windowed mode" box checked, because the game always runs in windowed mode instead of fullscreen, even without that box checked.) When I ran the game again launched from SKSE, is when this started happening.

Thanks very much for your help.

when using MO2, never launch the game outside of MO2 if you have MO2 running. MO2 works with some virtual directory links so I'm guessing that it got stuck in a loop when you launched skyrim outside of MO2 and very quickly took all the resources of your system.

Ok, but MO2 wasn't running when I launched Skyrim directly. And it isn't a one-time thing, the problem has happened again every time I start it now from MO2.
