Enabling Achievements (with mods) for the Steam Deck?
So like the subject name. Is there any way to enable achievements if you have mods installed while playing on the Steam deck? Kinda sucks that Bethesda did this. But I like enhancing the game and because of that the achievements are disabled. :csgoskull:

If you are having difficulties getting SSE Engine Fixes installed - it requires SKSE64 and its Address Library - then check the ProtonDB for clues on how to do it.

ProtonDB - https://www.protondb.com
Skyrim SSE on ProtonDB - https://www.protondb.com/app/489830
SKSE on ProtonDB - https://www.protondb.com/app/365720

But how do I do that for the Steam deck? I looked up the achievement enabler it looks like it requires SKSE or some type of DLL loader but that's for the PC. I'm trying to get it working on the Steam Deck. Doesn't say anything about that.

Bump. Checked out ProtonDb and YouTube. Cannot find anything regarding my particular issue. I’ve tried launching through SKSE to see if that would work on the deck. However because I have the anniversary addition even when I change the file location, it still tells me to instead that version instead of working for the SE version. Oh well.

The first post had the answer. You need to install the SSE Engine Fixes:

SSE Engine Fixes - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230

The mod requires SKSE64 and the Address Library:
SKSE - https://skse.silverlock.org/
Address Library - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32444

The Engine Fixes address various issues with the game engine, making your game more stable. These also reenable achievements when using mods.

The ProtonDB to SKSE mentions to rename the executables. So you rename "SkyrimLauncher.exe" into "SkyrimLauncher.orig" and "skse64_launcher.exe" into "SkyrimLauncher.exe" after you have installed all three mods.

When you download SKSE then first check which version number of the game you have. You will find the version number on the main menu screen.
