T Pose Glitch

Hey so I need some help, after using RaceMenu me and all of the npcs are frozen completely and I tried to uninstall the mods and reinstall them but it doesn't fix anything.

Wait sorry if this sounds dumb but will FNIS really fix my character, and I also tried it copy it but it doens't show me the option. Am I just not downloading it the right way, if so do you think you can explain to me where I download it from cause rn I am trying from vortex.

As to if that will fix the character, can't really know until we can see what FNIS is doing; that will at least give us some insight into the issue - even if it is just to rule out any issues with FNIS.

No problem! Just take your time - and, if you get a little frustrated, just take a break and do something else for a bit.

Let's side step the Fnis issue for the moment. You said this happened after running racemenu. Can you do me a favor and post your load order? Have you double checked the installation? Racemenu requires SKSE64 to function,

"The Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64), Version 2.0.7 (or newer matching the RaceMenu version) is REQUIRED to run RaceMenu SE."

The current version of racemenu is 0.4.19.14 and was released 4 days ago which means it will work for the newest version of the game from Steam, and the newest version of SKSE64 with the scripts folder properly installed

"Complete overhaul to the character creation menu including new customization features. REQUIRES SKSE64 Anniversary Edition 2.2.3 or greater and Game Version 1.6.640"

and you'll also need to make sure there are no left over loose files in the data folder from any older versions. .

CharGen.pex

RaceMenu.pex
RaceMenuBase.pex
RaceMenuLoad.pex
RaceMenuPlugin.pex

If you see any of these in the data folder as loose files they need to be deleted.

Normally when I see a full "T pose" including the character my first instinct is also to ask what skeleton you have installed and is anything overwriting it.

For clarification as to what's already been written. FNIS is required to add/merge new animation mods into the game, but if the player is t-posed it's usually not an animation issue, more often than not it's a problem with the default skeleton. Do you have XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended installed? and if so did you meet all of the requirements for it?

That's a start. Your load order would help A LOT. Otherwise we're all just guessing what you have installed and this could take forever.

It's been a while since I used FNIS (i now use Nemesis) but just a couple of notes to add to what smr and avrie posted.

You will not need the XXL add-on shown in the video smr1957 linked and I do not recommend it.


Make sure FNIS is added to the Vortex "Tools" section on the Vortex Dashboard and then to run it from there.
Also in Vortex Go to "Settings" under "Interface" & check "Run FNIS on Deployment Event" because you need to run it after each animation install or uninstall. Vortex will run it regardless which is a great feature.

The best way to post your load order is by using the copy Vortex keeps.
You can find it here:

So far this is all of my mods in order I believe, I just wonder why my character is frozen and I can't even look around. It even transcends save files such as if I start a new game which I shared a screenshot of what it looks like.

Your problem is almost certainly Dynamic Animation Replacer.

What version of Skyrim are you running? Are you on 1.597? DAR doesn't work on the latest Skyrim version. Since you have SSE Engine Fixes 1.6.629 I am assuming you are on 1.6.640.

You will need to remove DAR and DAR-related mods.

Also T-Pose is 99% of the time caused by failing to run FNIS or Nemesis. So your problem started the moment you installed DAR or a related animation mod without also running FNIS.
