please help me make my character pretty.
i downloaded a few mods with the objective to make my character prettier but i am running into an issue right now i downloaded this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45718 (keep in mind it contains nudity before clicking), however while the body seems simillar enough to the preview pictures the details and shape of the head is far from the preview images. i don't know if i need other mods or if i need to activate some thing in the settings but i an curently trying to get my character's face to look like the blonde elf in the second immage at the top of the page when it comes to details.
i also already tryied to ask on the page but i can't seem to get any answers so please don't tell me to ask there, I TRIED!

They are using a preset for the face. I looked through the comments and this particular mod author is using a personal preset which means he made it himself for personal use.

Many times mod authors will list the mods they used for their screenshots, usually they list them in the description section. They also will usually list/credit the assets they used to create the actual mod itself in the description section.

Bottom line you can look through Nexus for a preset to your liking, If you're using RaceMenu make sure the preset is compatible with it (most are but always check).

welp too late for that

as for why their face looks different the mod itself is a texture mod and doesn't do anything other then that.

Download "Racemenu" it has extreme slider overload to make your character how you want you can use other peoples presets with it too. so you can look for a face preset and download it.

Keep in mind those screenshots are what's called screen archery, and they probably go through much effort to take the best screenshots. That means:
- spending a lot of time in Racemenu or Enhanced Character Edit to literally sculpt the face;
- carefully select textures of course, not just the skin from that mod, but the eyes, teeth, eyebrows, makeup, etc;
- they use ENB/Reshade presets tweaked for this purpose, not really meant for gameplay. It's not just quality over performance, but possibly effects/filters that wouldn't look great with normal gameplay.

BTW, since they mention a discord channel, that's probably the best place to ask, at least they would be more responsive. The screenshot you mentioned is named Trusty, and at the bottom of the description, they list the users taking those screenshots, including Trusty. Maybe you can ask him, or maybe he has his own channel.

maybe i misunderstand or maybe i wasn't clear but what i meant by making the face of my character look like the picture i didn't mean so much in the proportions in race menu. i meant the way we see the details on the skin, the shine and realisme in the eyes, because maybe i just can't see the face of my character from close enough but it looks like a chunk of flat plastic especially compared to the rest of the body that has the right details as far as i can tell.

ok i tried looking more closely at the face using the customisation menu and i think i saw the details even if just barely. still i feel like my head is far more, not sure what the light term is, there are very obvious corner/edges, my head looks like a d20 how do i fix THAT.

if u are interested in use to create some specific creaetion like some screenshots of the page generaly most of the autor put in credits all the mods that used to do that. if u dont, simply aply the body u want, some body preset, and the bodyslide for it, and this can help u for convert the armors into the body u are using (for example armor x cbbe into armor bhunp), but i recomend to do this for the coversions (because the details for that body are already aplyed and u just have to worry for convert the armors into the presets for the body). about the head presets, sorry i dont try one...yet

Do you have High Poly Heads? and did you set it up correctly? Also you must remember these screenshots people use Mods and ENBS To change the lighting and literally set up the game itself for screenshots and not game play For High poly heads you must go in to Race Menu click on Head and scroll down to Face Parts select High poly heads that should help a bit but theres a few other mods in here Your best bet is look up characters presets and then customize yourself from there Also You see on race menu the top left there is a Sculpt setting some people use that to help mold faces in to what they want Presets can allow you to automate it a Bit and get a certain shape that the preset offers

Unfortunately file is on one of the sites that has plenty of adult content. Steam does not really like us posting links to those sites, even if the specific file would be quite okay.

You will have to find it yourself. However, both Google and Duck managed to catch that with first try.

If you go to a mod page that requires Highpoly heads they usually have a link to it I think its called Vector or something is the website If you want a direct link you can add me on steam and i'll send it but I Dont think steam would like me Linking it here

I read that the site was actually down for a while. It was back up, when I wrote the reply.

ok thanks

Yeah Its a shame to have to go to 3rd party websites for certain mods but High poly heads is a high downloaded Mod and usually people wont go 3rd party unless its a good mod and usually multiple mods would require something Just Remember With High poly heads When you create your character you must go to Head and scroll down to Face Parts Select Highpolyhead
