Freaky THE CAUSE Bug at Rielle Entrance!

When I try to go through the entrance near Arcwind Point I get the message saying "to Rielle", but I'm presented with a wall of rock and no entrance! I tried to tcl through it but when I do that it crashes my game. Anybody run into this before?

Did you downgrade to a previous version? 1.5.97?
It looks like some of the Creations strictly require the updated game (1.6.353~1.6.640) to work properly - trying to use them in a downgraded game can cause issues.

Nope. I'm running the latest version so that can't be the culprit. I thought it might be a mad that changes the landscape, but that doesn't appear to be it either.

TCL won't work on transitional doors. That is, doors that transport you to another cell. Only with doors that are actually part of the same cell does TCL do anything.

The transition didn't load properly for some reason. We can assume that you reloaded a previous save, yes?

Unusual, the entrance to Rielle is at arcwind point, but I've never had any problems...
Try verifying the files, and if that doesn't work, check nexus for patches between mods and the Cause CC content.

Thanks for the responses, but everything I have tried has failed. Any idea how I can advance the quest or skip this part of it?

Sure there are mods to fix it. Do you happen to be running Majestic Mountains?

If you are running Majestic Mountains in your load order the mod author fixed that and other similar issues in version 4.0.2 which was released on 16 October 2022. Prior to that you needed a separate patch.

There were also some terrain blending issues caused by some ENB's.
Here's a reply from the mod author of Majestic Mountains on the mod page.
He was replying to users discussing the terrain issue:
"The first post implied that it is a MM issue with terrain blending.
But terrain blending had issues with Multipass Snow.
It is an Enb issue.
And yes. Every Enb that uses terrain blending has this issue."

For my load order I used a patch and problem solved. Never had to change my ENB for terrain issues either. But now that the mod author addressed the issue if you're running the latest version of MM you should be fine.

Sorry, no. I tried uninstalling every mod that has anything to do with terrain changes, with no success.
If someone has a console command code I can use to get into Rielle or to skip that part of the quest, I'd be most appreciative!

Do you happen to have Bruma installed? Or Inigo?

For example the Inigo mod blocks the entrance
if this is the entrance you are speaking of:

Here's an excerpt about common bugs with that particular creation:
"Attempting to read the Excavation Leader's Journal causes a CTD and in addition the entrance to Rielle appears to be missing if you go to the location to skip reading the journal."
So, did you try to skip reading the journal and go straight to Rielle?

Good find. Like I said i never had an issue after patching it correctly but some mods have changed since my setup last September. I'm building a new load order now and will check this out closely. Thanks.

So you're using Inigo then. OK, did you, after installing the patch, try loading a save from before the first time you attempted to start the quest "The cause"? This is important that you do so.

Btw, could very well be another mod causing the issue, for example do you run the mod "Enhanced Landscapes"? They have a patch for this exact issue.

I don't have enhanced landscapes installed, but I'll try loading an old save and see if that does anything. Thanks for the feedback!
