Nexus is not the only place with Skyrim SE mods. There are other ones too, Nexus is just the largest one. The download rates they're mentioning is a maximum one and is dependent on various factors such as download server in use is under pressure or network latency or ...
Granted it doesn't have the sheer bulk of mods the browser based sites like nexus has but nearly all the most popular are there covering everything from bug fixes to graphics and new land and quests etc. Plus they should work with few troubleshooting issues as long as they are compatible with each other and those are typically listed.
It still makes sense even using the ingame mod options to at least install skse64 and its various plugins that fix more engine bugs and stuff like parallax which in combination with a simple lighting mod that turns volumetric lighting back on can transform the look of the game especially moody dungeons and interiors along with a quick and dirty bethini edit to max out all the settings.
sorry you are either unable to afford or just too cheap to pay for membership. It is not expensive at 7 bucks a month. Being a free user you really have no grounds to complain from. 1.5MBs to 3MBs is pretty generous considering the sheer amount of traffic they go through. Was hoping to find the lifetime pricepoint like I have but I guess that was a 1 time thing.
you want faster cough up the dough. If you cant or wont well deal with it.
the collection i use is 9.4 gb, 64 mods (plus a few i manually add) i actually ended up downloading it twice, installed it and start using it for a couple weeks, then a power outage ate my ssd..
so i ended up reinstalling everything on my old hard drive, until my new PC arrives
took me about 2 hours to download and install on the slow slow hard drive (not that the drive speed really slowed down the install that much) honestly the hard part was i had to keep manually clicking "download" for a bunch of the mods.
if that's to long a wait or to annoying, just pay $5 (or whatever it is for your area) for one month, install it all, maybe make a backup just incase. then cancel it. or, don't use a collection.
A mod collection so like 100+GB
It's a free to use website that is hosting hundreds of thousands of mods. Boo hoo you can't download 200gb of mods in 5 minutes with a single click without paying $5, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cry me a river.
