Ethically they are. An exploit is just a cheat that doesn't have a rule against it yet. Like taking a shortcut in a race that the race officials forgot to mark off or didn't think anyone would use. Even though there may be no formal rule against it, you're still cheating because you're not following the spirit of the race.

If you have troubles with the fixes that USSEP has introduced then you have two options
1. Don't use it
2. Open CK or xEdit and remove the edits made by the mod you see as harmful.
Uh, no. This wasn't an issue until the twitter brigade decided it was wrong just a few years ago and replaced it with twenty thousand possible choices with the "correct" one changing every few minutes.
However, despite theo's insistence otherwise, that is not what is happening in the USSEP. Each of the changes listed are for instances where the word used would clearly be incorrect even if the year was 1960. The assertion that it's a "stylistic" choice or that the speaker is doing it on purpose out of disrespect makes no sense at all and does not align with anything else in the conversations, characters, or the rest of the game world.
They are grammatical errors or could result in grammatical errors if the player used the other gender for their character. Why changing "he" to "they" in these cases to avoid this is so controversial as to cause him to recommend against using the USSEP, I don't know.

No they aren't grammatical errors unless proven otherwise. And logically it cannot be proven, there's no way to know the writer's intention at this point. At best we could make a guess via analysis of how consistent these 'errors' are. In my opinion a guess isn't a good enough reason to intervene, and if there's at least one possible way for a 'text mistake' to make sense, it must be accepted as intentional, otherwise you're not fixing mistakes, you're changing text to match some false standard you had set up

even beside the people who want to find or use glitches, often these glitches are just silly and funny as ♥♥♥♥ unique only to Bethesda games. The free trainers for example, it makes all the sense that the guy will have the money in his inventory, obviously, where else would it go? The glitch almost makes the game world more realistic, but it's also hilarious that he can't refuse you from taking the money back. If a mod makes it so the money disappears instead of going to the trainer, then that just works like another normal game and less like a Bethesda game to me. In this case I feel like a genuine fix would be to make it so that if you then take the money trainer goes hostile on you or something.
I think they fixed Necromage because it's basically the same exploit as the fortify restoration loop (not to the same extend tho). Personally I'm fine with fixing the resto loop, enchanting, alchemy and smithing are strong enough without the resto loop, to avoid saying overpowered.
Biggest issue with the mod is the author tbh, who constantly removes the old versions, takes the mod off, insults people on Reddit who are unhappy with a specific fix, reports people who release an unfix and whatever.
