2 Second Delay in Inputs
I am still having problems with input delay from my x-box style controller. I will move a stick and about 1-2 seconds passes before something happens. As in my previous post I thought it was a side effect from mods. Not a bug just something built into iNeed, frostfall, or campfire. My character was tired and hungry. I fed him and slept after leaving helgen but the delay still remained. I uninstalled the 3 mentioned mods and SkyUI, papyrus, and "Wet and Cold" Still delaying. I then made a clone of my mod list and uninstalled all the mods except for skse64, address library, and the other "required" one. There is still the delay. There was another person in the discussions that seemed to have the same problem. My computer is weak but it ran Skyrim before the update fine. I can't believe the update changed something that significantly. I have been searching google and other discussions to no avail. I did read something about having to "default" my FNIS settings but I have never even touched that button. I have no idea how idles would be effecting my controller so I don't think that is a reasonable explanation. I have spent several days on this and I have run out of ideas. If anyone has any thoughts let me know. As I stated it could be just my computer but 2 people with the same problem worries me.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz
8GB
Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
So that is some of my computer info.
yes, very weak.

Did it work in the past and does it happen for other games? Does it happen without using any mods?

A 2s-delay is huge and my first guess would be that either the operating system regularly suspends the power to the port your controller is connected to, requiring it to wake up each time. Or that the game is switching between different input methods, because it thinks the controller disconnects all the time.

Excellent questions. It only happens in this game. I tried several other controller based games and they were fine. Instant satisfaction. I also tried using my mouse in skyrim while the controller was plugged in and there was no response. If I unplug the controller the mouse has a delay.
Mods.... before the update i had about 40 mods running and had no problems. I accidently had an update because I touched my mouse pad while the cursor was hanging out over skyrim. Stupid laptop. I went through a crazy 10 day ordeal putting most of my mods in again but added a few...Frostfall,Campfire, and SkyUI. Because now frostsall needs Skui, I uninstalled these mods first and the problem was still there. On my clone profile I got rid of all of them 1 at a time or groups that work together. Still the delay. So not sure what my next step is. I hope it is just my computer being old.

Have you tried getting rid of all the mods and verified the game files yet? Worst case, you could try a clean install of the game.

The specs you have added are indeed very low. In particular, the 8GB of memory in combination with on-board graphics are below minimum specs. Even when people sometimes get it to work below specs will 8GB make it very tight. The game could be running out of memory and swapping, which causes large delays, too. If you had the game running before and were happy with it then try to get rid of anything that uses a lot of memory. But I am not holding my breath, to be honest...

The delay is a "feature", even in vanilla. I'm using a keyboard and mouse and the delay has always been there.
