Does Special Edition on GOG come with the Anniversary update?
Yes, I'm asking for the Special Edition on GOG, not Anniversary Edition. On Steam, even if you don't buy the Anniversary Upgrade / Edition, the 4 third-party Creation Club things from the Anniversary Update (fishing, etc.) come pre-installed automatically by default (again, without Anniversary Upgrade / Edition) and cannot be removed, not without (even more) third-party mods. Is that the case with the GOG version too?

Also, is there a proper way to disable / delete them for good in-game here on Steam? I don't want them to install each time I reinstall the game and force deleting game files in the install folder always feels wrong.

Steam version only comes with the 4 Free Creation Club mods which are; Fishing, Saints & Seducers, Rare Curios, and Survival Mode.

You buy the Anniversary DLC (also from Steam) to obtain the rest of the Creation Club content.

I'd buy Steam's version over the GOG version if you;'re going to mod your game. Otherwise either is fine.

GOG has several versions including one that comes with the whole shabang.

And it will break your game. Those 4 creations now have the same status as old original addons Hearthfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn. All seven of them are deeply integrated into the game and can not be properly removed anymore.

There is no such way. You can do this only with other 70 creations but not with these four.

Wow... I couldn't care less about mods, I want the original game without this subpar third-party crap being forced. They actually made these 4 things essential for the entire game to work? Unbelievable... Just having them on by default is absurd, but being core files? What the hell?

As for the GOG versions, I know there are the Special and the Anniversary editions, but the thing is, Special still comes with the 4 free mods from the free Anniversary update on Steam and Microsoft Store, but what about GOG, since the GOG version doens't have Creation Club at all?

All current game versions have them - no exceptions.

I'm confused because the GOG store page of Special Edition says that the entire Creation Club is removed (since it's an offline DRM-free version) and Anniversary Edition is the one that has all that content in it, but that's a separate purchase from Special Edition. So, I don't know if the "no Creation Club" includes the 4 free ones from the Anniversary Update (not Upgrade or Edition, I mean the free update).

I really, really wish to have the original and authentic game in an official DRM-free form where I own the official setup.exes forever, no third-party mods or cracks or anything, just good old Skyrim.

No creation club refers to the AE DLC, I believe - not the built in content - which is no longer Creation club - but I can't be 100% definite on that - even though I assume that it is just the same as the current version on Steam.

I'm sure someone who knows for sure as they bought the game will answer that one.

Full pack is this - https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_elder_scrolls_v_skyrim_anniversary_edition
that consists of two separate packs
1. the special edition: https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_elder_scrolls_v_skyrim_special_edition
2. with anniversary edition upgrade: https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_elder_scrolls_v_skyrim_anniversary_upgrade

Right now, the special edition (1) contains the base game (Skyrim) with the expansion packs (Dawnguard + HearthFire + Dragonborn) AND the four free Creation Club that got handed out because of the 10th year anniversary: CC Survival + CC Fishing + CC Saints and Seducers + CC Rare Curios.

All other CC content is included in the upgrade (2).

I understand this causes confusion. This is not communicated thoroughly and still causes confusion to some people nowadays. At least it's not worse than what you can get with the Hitman games and their DLCs :-)

Wow... Well, thanks anyway. I really don't get the decision though.

GOG literally stands for "good old games" and the platform is beloved for preservation of said "good old games" in the purest form. Yet, if I want to play good old Skyrim, these tacked-on Creation Club things are still forced in there by default and that's it?

What the hell kind of logic even is that?

Anyway, hope dies last, so, just to be 100% sure, do you actually own SE on GOG or have seen the actual file list of the SE alone excluding the AE Upgrade / Edition or are you assuming that it contains the 4 things considering it does on Steam and MS Store?

ease note that the DRM-Free version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition does not include the Creation Club feature. The entire Creation Club content (74 items) is included in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition

The Anniversary Upgrade includes entire pre-existing and new Creation Club content like quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, and more. With Creations, there is a lot more to discover. You must own Skyrim Special Edition to access this content.

Oldrim and its DLCs can not be find with search function. But you still can buy it using direct links.

If you want the "good ol' Skyrim" then get the legendary edition/oldrim. It has zero creation club content and is the state of the original game.
