Where to find Jenassa

So I need help finding my old companion Jenassa. She used to be with me and I gave her some valuable stuff but I don't know where to find her. I've already looked in the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun where I found her the first time but she's not there anymore. The last time she was with me was right before a Companions quest I was going to do and she wasn't allowed to go with me. I just need some guidance on where I could possibly find her.

to get her to move to you, open the console (the tilde (~) key right above the tab key) and type:
prid 000B9982
hit enter
then type:
moveto player
hit enter
close the console and she should be placed right next to you.
Be aware, however, that if she was dismissed as a follower, anything you gave her will be gone.

The only way to get the lost items back would be to load a save made before she was dismissed, or if you can remember the items and can get the Form IDs for them, to use the additem command in the console. Otherwise they are lost for good (yeah, she probably sold them off - at least that's how to roleplay it).

If this^ is a problem for you Sparky_957 then I would just wait because chances are very high that she'll show up eventually. She's on her way back to either the Drunken Huntsman or somewhere in Whiterun or wherever you assigned her home if you did assign her one.

How long ago was it that you went on that quest she could not follow on?

I would use the command but I would be worried about disabling achievements. And it's been quite a few weeks since I've been on this quest so she possibly died.

There are messages about a bug with hirelings and Jenassa is one. When during a Companions' quest line your follower is forcibly dismissed - there are chances that this NPC will vanish from the game entirely.

With other followers there is no such problem. It can only happen with hirelings - followers which you can hire for 500 septims in taverns in major cities.

Update: I found Jenassa on the side of a random road outside of Whiterun. Thank you everyone for the help.

If you want to find a misplaced companion more easily in the future, you can make use of the 'Where Are You' mod which can apply a tracking marker to any previously discovered NPC.
