How do I determine whether an enb will work post AE?
Just to be sure, do you have multiple ENB related mods? There are some mods (ENB helper comes in mind) that uses ENB but is not compatible with the current version AFAIK
This is the main page for Skyrim SE
- http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrimse.html
clicking on the latest version brings you to
- http://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrimse_v0483.htm
scroll down to the bottom, there's a "download". Extract and use "wrapper" version if you're using Windows.
Ensure that older enb's are removed;
Go to "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition". Then look for "enbseries" folder. Delete all content in that. Then open another explorer, find the "wrapper" and copy (with overwrite) all of its content to that "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition" folder. Then install your ENB mods on top of that.
The second paragraph I've done. I have version 483
I removed everything enb related. Game crashes on any load screen once in game.
Repeated stuff in last paragraph. Still crashes.
Maybe there is some leftover file. Time for a clean install and see if I can figure it out. So as long as I use the current version of enbseries and don't use enb helper, any actual enb mod should work? If not, how do I tell?
Ha, tried verifying files; now it won't load at all or even start a new game.
But I am curious about something; can you tell where you have installed your Steam and Skyrim SE? If it is in program files, then you have to install it on a different location.
Since you have said it's on a new drive, are you sure that there are no loose files anymore?
There probably were but I couldn't find them. I did a clean install and will start over with enbs first so I don't screw up my mod work again.
