Glowing Eyes Glitch/Bug?
I haven't logged on to play Skyrim in a few months, but now that I have, I noticed that suddenly one of my characters is experiencing this blue glowing trail eye effect that will not go away, whether I put a helmet or mask on or not. I do not experience this on any of my other saves, despite using the same mods on every one.

Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this? I do not use any mods that modify eyes or face in any way. It's not a big issue, but it does make third person view look awkward, though it can only be seen at certain angles, including from behind (which produces a light trail when the character moves).

There is a mod that removes that via equipping/unequipping a special ring:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/91112
Worked for me better than other that I tried.

It's the effect of the Draugr's eyes. It's a vanilla bug that can happen when you save and/or reload your savegame near them (usually this happens when you die in a nordic tomb).

"Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch" is a mod that can be used to prevent this bug, it also adds a shrinebook inside the Temple of Kynareth in Whiterun which can be used to reset your character's visual effects - so it should work retroactively to fix savegames/characters that are glitched/effects stuck.

update: smr1957 is correct, it's a book.
I could have sworn it was a shrine. lol

That mod is for original Skyrim (Oldrim), not SSE (though it may also work for SSE).

Best is to use the Unofficial Patch options (I cannot remember if the shrine in the Temple is still what is used, or if there is a book placed in your inventory - I know that I have a book, but I am not on the current version on this playthrough).
