Onedrive deleting Autosaves

So i jsut got skyrim and every time i get an autosave my Onedrive exits me out the window and says it has deleted my auto save. So im scared to exit out of my playthrough in fear of losing all progress. is this anything to be concerned about or do I still have my autosaves

Turn off OneDrive. Also, NEVER rely on autosaves. Manually save to a local drive. Make sure Steam cloud saving is disabled as well.

OneDrive, I'm not sure about. To turn off Steam cloud saves, though, right click on the game in Steam, then it's under either Manage or Properties, I can't remember which. It's on the page with the Steam Overlay option iirc.

Onedrive is basically a virus. Banish it.

If you're like me and find Onedrive essential, you could move your assigned "Documents" folder out of the onedrive folder to somewhere else by right-clicking on the onedrive/documents folder, select Properties then select the location tab.

Skyrim doesn't play well with cloudsaving, it seems to try and use it, even though it can't do it properly, which is why people say remove onedrive.

I get that. But totally unnecessary. Just move documents folder.

this is hella old but this is haappening to me, makes me not even want to play the game, @limpy i tried finding that folder but didnt see it someone please help mee

instead of us saying do this/do that, perhaps do a web search on windows onedrive,
read what it does and how it works, where to find folders.
there are LOTS of detailed articles/videos/manuals

then YOU decide if you need to use onedrive on your pc.
if not, turn it off/disable/uninstall it. most of the articles tell you how.
if you do turn if off/disable/uninstall it, up to YOU to back up your files.

if yes, most of the articles have a section on how to unlink, exclude or remove a folder from One Drive. perhaps you need OneDrive to save/backup/share your files for work/school/family but can exclude the game folder so that the game works.
