What are Screen Space Reflections?

The showcase video Bethesda made says there will be Screen Space Reflections. The images show a mage casting Magelight and the environment lighting up. The thing is, doesn't this already happen in vanilla Skyrim? What do the mean by Screen Space Reflections?

I don't know, maybe you should have done the hard, hard, hard, work of going so far as the *6th* whole link down on the first page and read the wikipedia article.

Or maybe you could have just gone straight to the wiki and looked it up there and then, if that was insufficient, did an internet search.

Simply put, it's the effect of being able to render reflections on different materials, e.g. MGS-V:GZ example[international.download.nvidia.com]
