Will I lose Skyrim Legendary Edition if I get the free upgrade ?
Do we get to replace our older Legendary Edition or do we get to keep it and just get the Special Edition next to it in out library ? Would suck if we lost the Legendary Edition..

No. The Skyrim Legendary Edition and Skyrim Special Edition are different games listed on Steam Store. The Special Edition content doesn't necessarily the same as Legendary Edition. If you have Skyrim LE on your Steam library, you will gain Skyrim SE.

No. The Skyrim that was released in 2011 with all its DLC's and Skyrim Special Edition will remain separate entities on Steam, side by side.

In a years time you won't care much for your old Skyrim anyway, it'll probably just end up uninstalled and hidden.

They have also said save files are transferable. I expect issues if the same mods are not installed however.

In all honesty, if 90% of mods work from the start, the future projects such as Skywind are on board, then I'd probably just discard my old Skyrim straight away.

Thanks for replying guys ! If my PC can run the special edition well then I'll probably drop the old skyrim too.
