Why Did GTA 5 Wild Hunt Sell Better Than Skyrim?

Why did GTA 5 sold so much more than Skyrim did?
Was it due to GTA 5 had MP and looked so much better as next gen game?
Skyrim was not quite next gen as GTA 5? but Skyrim is so much more respected
than GTA 5?

GTA 5 sold 170m vs Skyrim 30m
So had Skyrim looked like GTA 5 and had MP should of sold 150m instead of only
30m? How can Skyrim be best ever RPG and only sell 30m? GTA 5 date 2013
Skyrim 2011 GTA 5 and Skyrim took 5 years to make but GTA 5 looks much better why?
I prefer Skyrim but enjoyed GTA 5

But why did Wild Hunt sell 65m so much more than Skyrim? Skyrim is much
vast game having to offer more with factions as Wild Hunt seems more limited.
Was due to using same character from prequels that talks? as DB does not talk.

Oblivion has the least amount of soul of the three modern elder scrolls IMO. In fact I consider oblivion second worst of the main numbered franchise after arena.

yeah but that is a matter of taste. You know that right?

I mean its the same as everything else. My best friend love Bacon but can't stand chicken. I love chicken, but find bacon way too oily.

Neither one of us is wrong. Everyone has it's own taste.

Personally, I loved what I saw from Oblivion. Joined the Fighter guild and even got a house. And loved the arena fight.

And some quest were memorables. Like that guy who was convinced someone is out to kill him, and then he go nuts?

Or those rumours about someone robbing graves.

Oblivion felt like an Upgrade of Daggerfall.

Also a facelift wouldn't do it, because lets be honest Morrowind is gameplay wise (as in game mechanics) very different to skyrim or Oblivion for that matter.

Many more people came back for Special Edition, and then Anniversary Edition. Those 30m numbers are for BASE skyrim across all platforms and it's rather old info

Now with all the latest additions, including SkyrimVR you may be looking at 40m
