I'm having trouble adding FNIS to MO2
When I try to add FNIS as an executable in MO2 it says this:

ERROR(76): Could not find a part of the path 'D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\temporary_logs\DummyStart.txt'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i've tried just about everything at this point, i'm extremely desperate at this juncture and it's really starting to tear at me.

The reason i really want to get this fixed is because i have the flying mod installed and the animations aren't working whatsoever, just as if i'm in noclip, this is really annoying as it makes stamina be taken away from me even if i've already set it not to. It also impedes my ability to do just about anything with the mod and i cant let it last an longer than i have to, thanks

Hah, I went through that hell a couple weeks ago. Start Skyrim from Steam just once...not from MO2, and then you're good to go.

the FNIS I installed via MO2 is installed to the MO folder, I don't think it should be pointing in the steamapps folder.

No idea what the DummyStart thing is, once I installed FNIS with MO2 it let me add the exe just fine as a MO2 shortcut

yes i understand this as ive tried both ways although neither work, perhaps you can tell me where i should put the actual folder for fnis to execute in mo2? when i load fnis from mo2 it doesnt load my mods even though they're active in mo2

I installed it via MO2 and it put FNIS in the MO2 mods folder which for me is:

F:\ModOrganizer\SkyrimSE\mods\FNIS Behavior SE\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe

the F:\ModOrganizer\SkyrimSE\mods is where all the mods I add via the manager gets unpacked to. FNIS will detect my mods because it looks at all the other mods I have in MO2 mods folder.

You would need FNIS to be installed into where your MO2 mods get unpacked to. But MO2 should do this it's self if you added the FNIS download and unpacked it via MO2.

this is honestly just starting to get really annoying, i am getting somewhere now though, although i am having another problem, when i try to boot FNIS up via mo2 it says:

ERROR(76): Could not find a part of the path 'idlebehavior.hkx'.

any idea how to fix that?

CFS has a guide for modding the game, part 4 includes installing FNIS to MO2, trying to get a copy of that bit.
