If you don't trust it, you can try port it using the "Cathedral Assets Optimizer".
That a mod is being ported over is solely on either the mod author or - if permission is given - by someone else taking time to port it over. There's a reason to consult comments section of a given mod if you're in doubt of something. As the other user has pointed out, someone did it for SE and hosted it on mediafire. If you don't trust it, you can try it at your own with some CK (I recommend doing this for facegen) and Cathedral Assets Optimizer (found on SE Nexus mods - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316)
If that does not help, you have to open CK (Creation Kit) with the plugin as active file and generate face gen data (use preview first, to attest it) of all the actors changed (these are marked with *) by the plugin.
You might have to reinstall the original Serana mod you're using. Or try a different one.
I use this one myself.

If you do not have a save to roll back to from before you de-activated your original Serana mod - then you will need to start a new game. And if you ever disabled any other mods and continued playing, the same holds true for them - as covered in the above link.
