In the magic section there is an option to "unlearn equipped spells" have your character equip the spell you want her to forget then use that option.
Well there is more than one follower framework, but I've never really used anything other than AFT.
I guess it's Nether's Followe Framework, it's the most recent if IIRC.
If you know how to use xEdit you can alter Serana there as well. I haven't used it in a long time (near 2 years) so I cannot give you a walkthrough, but from what I remember it was not that hard to figure out.
Yeah I heard that option too, but I'm not too informed on any of that stuff. Thank you though. I might see if I can swap out the Nether's Follower Framework with AFT.
I prefer giving them spells that only target one character so that they don't accidentally get me. I also use AFT and think that is the easiest Follower tweak dialogue system.
What I do know is that NFF supports spell removal, I did not have tried it on Serana though. It is likely being based on spells you've taught to the followers. It won't harm to try it out ingame, just revert to your last save if it goes bad.
Or ... did you consider this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37323
I was thinking about reverting the save but I guess I don't know how the spawn system works? Is she automatically brand new the moment you start an entirely new game? Or when you go to Dimhallow? Or when you free her?
Any mods that change Serana should be added before you get there. So definitely make / load a save before releasing her.
She learns a spell called, "Twister" (from a spell mod pack I assume) that she just CONSTANTLY spams and it shreds absolutely everything in sight. I can't edit this part at all...
Ya Twister is a Spell added by Apocalypse, it's a master level spell that does 400 damage on direct hits 200 for indirect hits, I can see how that could be an issue.
The GOOD news is, it seems like she isn't just CONSTANTLY spamming this one like she did Twister. Despite having like 140 Mana total, she would CONSTANTLY spam Twister (200+ mana cost). The INSTANT it stopped, it was casted again.
Hopefully she just doesn't learn this with this new save/load scuff fix...
Well both Cyclonic Rift and Fingers of the Mountain are also Master spells, and it's probably even worse if she decides to use both, Fingers of the Mountain does no damage on its own but it causes an enemies to be "electrified" which will cause them to be stuck by lightning for 120 points any time they get hit with another shock spell...Cyclonic Rift is a shock spell.
It's probably the damage, Npcs will always use whatever does the most damage, FotM does no damage and I think Cyclonic Rift does do very much unless you cast it a second time, but the AI doesn't know that.
